Set up by Montessori Teacher Claire Kenyon, The Children’s Garden has been welcoming families since 1998. Our mission is to provide a homely, yet inspiring, environment which enables our children to thrive and discover the world around them and their place in it. They are supported and cared for by a dedicated team of early years educators and professionals – some of whom have been part of TCG for nearly two decades. A large number of staff have degree or Masters-level early years qualifications.
Our Approach
We believe young children have the ability to reach powerful levels
of creative learning when their natural inquisitiveness is nurtured.
With 30 years of experience in early years, we have created our own unqique pedagogy. Montessori enables our children to unearth their love of independent learning; the reflective approach of Reggio-Emilia empowers children to follow their innate interests and Forest School builds their confidence and their ability to manage risk safely – while having a lot of fun!
